 1. The Revealed Word of the Lord of the Worlds:

Translation: "And indeed, it (the Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. The Trustworthy Spirit (Angel Gabriel) has brought it down. Upon your heart (O Muhammad) that you may be of the warners. In a clear Arabic language." (Surah Ash-Shu'ara: 192-195)

2. A Clear Declaration, Guidance, and Admonition:

Translation: "This (Qur'an) is a clear statement to the people and a guidance and instruction for the righteous." (Surah Aal-e-Imran: 138)

Why was the Holy Quran Revealed?

1. To Bring Humanity Out of Darkness into Light:

Translation: "Alif, Lam, Ra. (This is) a Book which We have revealed to you that you might bring mankind out of darkness into light, by the permission of their Lord, to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy." (Surah Ibrahim: 1)

2. To Judge Between People with Truth:

Translation: "Indeed, We have revealed to you the Book in truth that you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you." (Surah An-Nisa: 105)
